Welcome to Show Off!


The next Show Off! will take place

on Friday the 31st of May at Cafe Koha.


Show Off! is a London version of the piano bars of New York.  It is a place where anyone who loves musical theatre can listen to songs from shows new and old - and where anyone who wants to can get up and perform.  Participants can (and often do) include enthusiastic musical theatre lovers, students, retirees, West End professionals and many more.


On the 31st of May, the doors will as usual open at 8:00 p.m.; the music will kick off at 9 p.m. and continue until 1 a.m.  Food and drink will be available throughout the evening.  


If you want to sing, just put your name and the song you want to sing on the sign-up sheet when you arrive.  You may bring your own music, but we also have music from a variety of shows.

Show Off! costs £10 at the door (or prepaid via the PayPal form at the top right of this page).  Reservations (to guarantee a place) can be made by filling in the reservation form or by sending an e-mail message to reservations@showoffpianobar.com. A large selection of wines and spirits can be purchased at the bar.  Cafe Koha's full range of snacks and meals is also available and will be served to your table.

We are very excited indeed to announce that Liam Tamne, Lauren Samuels and Olivia Phillip are scheduled (subject to availability) to sing a few songs from Chris Passey's new album at Show Off! on the 6th of May. Chris Passey himself will be there too, performing with them.  Matthew Gent will once again be hosting, with Show Off! Musical Director Nathan Martin at the piano.

We very much hope that you can join us for what promises to be an exciting night.

Matthew GentWe are very excited to have Matthew Gent back as Show Off! host for the third time this Friday, the 1st of April.  Matthew proved very popular with the Show Off! crowd in January and February, and was a welcome guest at our birthday party in March.

Online Ticketing for Show Off!

We are happy to report that it is now possible to buy tickets for Show Off! online, via a button on the front page of the Show Off! website.  To do so, just enter the date for which you wish to purchase tickets, and then click on the "Add to Cart" button.  You will then be guided to a PayPal page which offers a range of payment options.

Tickets bought online cost £10 each, as they do at the door.
 
The Start of our Second Year

Show Off! had a fantastic first birthday celebration on the 6th of March at Green Carnation.  A number of Show Off! stalwarts - including several people who were at our very first night exactly one year earlier - were in attendance, and the atmosphere was really special.  Thank you to all who joined us, and to all who have supported Show Off! in its first year.

On the 18th of March, we were back at Cafe Koha for another great night, with Sarah Lark once again hosting alongside Musical Director Nathan Martin. 

The next Show Off! is on Friday the 1st of April at Cafe Koha.  Matthew Gent will be hosting, with Nathan Martin at the piano.  We hope that you can join us.
 
Our First Birthday

Green Carnation logoThe 6th of March marks the first birthday of Show Off!  It has been a very exciting year for us, and one that we are keen to celebrate.

In honour of this milestone, we will be holding a special Show Off! on a new night and at a new location: Sunday the 6th of March, 2011, at Green Carnation.  The doors will open at 6 p.m. and there will be live music from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.  The space at Green Carnation even includes room for dancing for those who might be so inclined! 

The birthday night of Show Off! will cost £10 at the door. 

We will return to our regular schedule of alternate Friday nights at Cafe Koha on Friday the 18th of March.

We hope that you can join us to celebrate the first year of Show Off! and that you look forward with us to many more years!
