Show Off! celebrated its third anniversary on Friday the 8th of March. Show Off! had its premiere on Saturday 6 March 2010 in Cafe Koha, where the anniversary night took place (and indeed where Show Off! takes place most fortnights). Joe Chisholm hosted the anniversary night, with Magnus Gilljam returning to the piano as guest MD. Many long-time supporters of Show Off! were present, along with several first-timers, and it was a fantastic night.
Now in its fourth year, Show Off! is continuing on every second Friday night. The next one will be this Friday, the 22nd of March, with Nic Gibney hosting again and with Show Off! MD Nathan Martin back at the piano. It should be an exciting night! There is quite a crowd on some nights, so it is a good idea to reserve tickets ahead of time, either by using the reservations form linked at the top right of each page of the Show off! website or by sending an e-mail message to

The New Year has brought with it some new hosts for Show Off! After a splendid return visit from Natalie Green on the 11th of January, Joe Chisholm made his Show Off! hosting debut on the 25th.
Joe will be returning to the hosting spot on the 22nd of February. In the meantime, Nic Gibney will be hosting Show Off! for the first time on the 8th of February. Both January nights were a lot of fun, with plenty of familiar faces (and voices) joined by some enthusiastic and very welcome newcomers. We look forward to the February nights hosted by Nic and Joe, which will round out Show Off!'s third year.

Time is flying by, and 2012 is almost over. We are delighted, however, to have two more nights of Show Off! to come in December. This Friday, the 14th of December, Toby Hine and Sarah Lark will be splitting hosting duties, with Toby starting the evening off and Sarah taking over after the interval. This will be the last night of Show Off! before Christmas, and it should be a great night of festive cheer. Show Off! will also take place on the 28th of December. That night should be an excellent opportunity for us all to let our hair down between Christmas Day and New Year's Eve. Dates for the first few months of 2013 are now on our Diary page. We will be continuing on every second Friday, starting two weeks after the 28th of December. We look forward to great things in 2013. Believe it or not, our 8 March show will mark the 3rd anniversary of Show Off! We hope to see you this month and again in 2013!

We are very excited for Show Off! host Sarah Lark, who joined the West End cast of Les Misérables in June. Unfortunately, this means that we will be seeing a little less of Sarah at Show Off! in the coming months. Show Off! host Matthew Gent is likewise busy on the West End at the moment, in Sweeney Todd, although he has been at Show Off! both as a late-night host and as an audience member several times since joining that show.
On the 22nd of June, Mark Dugdale made his Show Off! hosting debut. Mark made a wonderful addition to the Show Off! family, and we very much look forward to welcoming him back as host on the 20th of July. Mark's theatre credits include Zac in Don Giovanni The Opera (Heaven Nightclub), Fleshcreep in Jack and the Beanstalk (Grand Opera House, Belfast), Various Roles in Jest End (Leicester Square Theatre), Understudied and played the role of Khashoggi in We Will Rock You (Dominion Theatre), Courfeyrac and understudy Enjolras in Les Misérables (Queen’s Theatre); Mary Sunshine in Chicago (National tour and Cambridge Theatre); Ugly Sister in Cinderella (Grand Opera House, Belfast for Qdos Entertainment); Anthology (Covent Garden); Soup in Merry Christmas Betty Ford (Lyric Theatre, Belfast); principal singer onboard The Queen Elizabeth 2; Chris in Have a Nice Life (Union Theatre); Asher in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (national tour); featured soloist in The Thursford Christmas Spectacular; Randolf in Bye Bye Birdie (Landor Theatre); and The Boy Friend (50th anniversary production). On the 6th of July, Shelly Goldstein will be hosting Show Off! Shelly is a writer-producer-lyricist-performer-producer who has sold out cabaret venues throughout the US and UK. Her popular cabaret shows include GAY MAN TRAPPED INSIDE THE BODY OF A STRAIGHT GIRL and ONE FINE DAY: THE GROOVY GIRLS OF THE 60s. She has written TV, film, special material and cabaret acts for such artists as Steve Martin, Sharon Stone, Liza Minnelli, Justin Timberlake and Yoko Ono. She co-starred in the film THE RIDDLE, opposite Derek Jacobi & Vanessa Redgrave.
We hope that you will join us in July to see Shelly and Mark in action.
