On with the Show (Off!)
We are now into our third month of lockdown, and we have not had a regular Show Off! night in twelve weeks. We are extremely fortunate to have been able to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Show Off! with everyone on 28 February, just before everything changed completely.
There have now been four Show Off! quiz nights, held online via Zoom. It has been wonderful seeing familiar faces - as well as some new ones - and having a good dive into musical theatre trivia with Nathan Martin and Tasha Sheridan providing a (very) wide range of questions and answers. We have also appreciated the support that so many people have shown for the team by purchasing tickets for the quizzes.
We are excited to announce the our virtual events, which are our fourth quiz and an evening of chat with Nathan Martin, Sarah Lark, Matthew Gent and Tasha Sheridan.
The next quiz will take place on Friday 29 May 2020 starting at 7:30 p.m., and will follow the same format as our fourth one, described in more detail here.
Our inaugural interactive event - entitled On with the Show (Off!) - will take place at 8:00 p.m. on Friday 5 June 2020. Show Off! Musical Director Nathan Martin and frequent Show Off! hosts Sarah Lark, Matthew Gent and Tasha Sheridan will talk about memorable moments in their lives in musical theatre - as performers, creatives and audience members. The event will start as an informal, unscripted discussion between the four Show Off! veterans, but audience members will be welcome to pose questions to the panel.
We hope that On with the Show (Off!) will offer a rare opportunity to catch up with Tasha, Matthew, Sarah and Nathan outside of Show Off! while also providing another chance for Show Off! fans and regulars - and indeed anyone interested in musical theatre - to come together as a group.
Tickets for On with the Show (Off!) are available at three different prices: the standard price is £5 per person, but anyone for whom this would be difficult to pay for whatever reason is welcome to pay £2 instead; there are also "key supporter" tickets available for £15 each, for those who are interested in providing more support. Everyone will get the same login and experience regardless of price paid. All proceeds (after PayPal fees) will go to to the panellists.
